Deadline frenzy and last minute mistakes...

I want to share a few recent articles that have come out in the past few days...

The first appeared on December 31st in The New York Times and can be found here:

It's a quick snapshot into the frenzy that can build as students delay in hitting the 'submit' button. Hopefully you've been working diligently and are ahead of the game. By staying on top of the admissions deadlines, it further provides you greater time to review your work in advance of submission...read on!

How Not to Get Into College

Please be certain to check, and re-check, those applications before sending them out. While admissions officers are forgiving people, some things are impossible to overcome. And... remember that while it's advisable to have a parent check your work, and you should navigate the search process together, at the end of the day it should be your work and your application.
