For those students who have been placed on the waitlist, please know that we offer this option with the intention of moving to the waitlist. Every year we model into our projected enrolling class the room to offer spots in the class to waitlisted students--what we don't know is how many spots we'll be able to offer, as the 'yield' on admission offers varies and is not specifically predictable. So, if you are on the waitlist and Kenyon remains your top choice, here is what you should do:
- Pay your enrollment deposit to another college. Be certain you have a school to attend next fall!
- Please don't go to the trouble of visiting campus. You can state your interest via email or telephone call to your admissions director, the staff member responsible for students from your area. If you are in the area, it is fine if you visit but we're trying to make it easier and less costly for you.
- Submit any new information you might have--recent awards or recognitions that weren't available for consideration with your application.
- Know that we do not rank students on the waitlist. If/when spots open in the class (generally after May 1), we reconvene the admissions committee to discuss students who have expressed an interest from the waitlist.
From Ransom Hall, all the best.
-Noble
